Livestock Shows
2009 Pottawatomie County Livestock Show
March 3-6, 2009
Nomination Date: December 11, 2008, 8-4 pm @ Shawnee Expo
All animals must be nominated on this date. The cost is $2 per animal. If the animal has already been nominated and tagged for OYE or from last year's county show, you still must bring that animal to be nominated on 12/11 but there will not be a charge.
Elgibilty: Youth must be a member of Pottawatomie County 4-H or a FFA Chapter by Dec. 31, 2008 to be elgible to show. Youth must be 9 years old as of the day of the show.
Oklahoma Youth Expo
March 13-23, 2009
Nominations: Dates vary by species
Steers- Nomination kits must be ordered through the extension office. Kit orders are due October 14, 2008. Cost is $10.
Sheep and Goats- all sheep (excluding purebred ewes) and all goats must be nominated. The costt is $10. The locations and dates are as follows:
October 27, Enid, OK 8-4 pm
October 28, Chichasha, OK 8-4 pm
October 29, Muskogee, OK 8-4 pm
Swine- All swine must be nominated. Nomination kits must be ordered through the extension office. Kit orders are due December 1, 2008. Cost is $10.
